Chocobanana Sandwich Recipe

Today I’ll present this recipe, which serves chocolate, biscuit and banana. No pangs, but also without eating half a kilo.

This is special for a weekend of those in which you spill on the sofa and let Netflix take control of your life (because that’s the way it is in these cases: they are the ones that control us and not the other way around).

To work the chocolate we will have to melt it. This step is key, since a burnt chocolate will cause us to be nominated and expelled from the house without notice. For this we recommend to put it in a casserole with the cream, in the smallest fire to the minimum. As soon as it begins to melt slightly, remove it from the fire and remove it, returning it to heat for a moment if we need more heat. There is also the option of the microwave, but you have to be careful enough not to burn, doing cycles of about 15 seconds at medium power and pulling it to spin it and assess whether or not you need another round.

Today I'll present this recipe, which serves chocolate, biscuit and banana. No pangs, but also without eating half a kilo.

This is special for a weekend of those in which you spill on the sofa and let Netflix take control of your life (because that's the way it is in these cases: they are the ones that control us and not the other way around).

  • Prep: 20 mins
  • Cook: 25 mins
  • Yields: 4 Servings

Ingredients

For the base

50 g of salted butter

100 g 'digestive' type oatmeal cookie

25 g of cacahuetes

For the filling

20 g chocolate with 70% cocoa

50 g chocolate with 52% cocoa

100 ml of cream to assemble

2 ripe bananas

For Toppings

1 scoop of vanilla ice cream

1 teaspoon chopped peanuts

Directions

1Grind cookies and peanuts with a mincer. Add the melted butter and finish mixing.

2Pour the dough into a rectangular container lined with kitchen film and crush with a spoon or a spatula until it is about a half centimeter thick. Cover with kitchen film and put in the freezer two hours.

3Mix the molten chocolate with the cream with a few sticks, and add the banana cut into small pieces. Cover with film and put in the freezer 1 hour.

4Remove the cookie base from the freezer, remove the film and carefully cut equal squares with a knife.

5Remove the chocolate filling from the freezer and assemble a sandwich, which will serve accompanied by a ball of vanilla ice cream with peanuts chopped over.

Melt the chocolate without burning it, the rest will be eaten.
